The dates for Belgium’s Dour Festival 2010 have been announced. The event, which takes place at La Machine A Feu in Dour, will run from 15-18 July.
Dour Festival is an annual music festival in the municipality of Dour, Belgium. Since its creation in 1989, the festival has grown to an attendance of about 144,000 in 2008 (over 4 days). The first year, only five bands were programmed (including Bernard Lavilliers). The festival format now consists of 4 days, 6 stages and 200 bands and DJ’s. The festival’s acts come from a wide range of genres, such as: electro, rock, Drum and Bass, pop, R&B, Reggae, house, punk, hardcore, Metal, hip-hop, indie, techno and more. Music is played for 17 hours each day, from 12pm until 5am. Dour has a reputation for putting on acts that go on to become very popular in the future, with Télémoustique saying:
“We go to most festivals to listen to what was hot this year. We go to Dour to listen to what will be hot next year.”
The festival attracts a very international and mixed crowd, at the 2009 event 40% of attendees we from Wallonia or Brussels, 32% Flanders, 16% France, 5% The Netherlands, 5% the UK and 2% elsewhere. More info about the line up of 2010, pictures, links, … hit continue reading!
Tons of Friends is the debut album by Italian electronic duo Crookers. The album has been released today (March 8, 2010). Many of these songs are featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, where Crookers personally served as DJs on one of the in-game radio stations. Hi all, my name is Allan Haywood aka El Negro Blanco and I’m from Iceland. I’m 25 yrs old and have been in this game on and off since I was 16. About 2 years ago I got into house music and have not been able to turn away from it ever since.
This was made just after I my new mixer, and finally had time for recording. I believe everyone knows the feeling when you don’t wan’t do stop driving your new car. This is recorded thanks to my 2xCDJ1000mk2 and DJM600.
