The Mau5 sets his sights on Glasgow, Hull and Liverpool
Canadian super producer Deadmau5 has announced a mini UK tour following his O2 Academy Brixton takeover, hosting shows in Glasgow, Hull and Liverpool.These dates follow on from his O2 Academy Brixton shows which will see him stage 3 consecutive events in the capital on May Bank Holiday Weekend.
Grammy nominated as one of the most influential producers of 2008, Deadmau5 has gone on to become one of the most in demand electronic artistes in the world. His BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix has become one of the most popular in ‘Essential Mix’ history and more recently this month he scooped the award for ‘Artist Of The Year’ in Urb Magazine.
Tickets on sale 9am Friday 29th January 2010.

Goodies: Shazam helps you ‘Name that tune’

Have you ever heard some music, be it in the background in a shop, or played on the radio and ever wished you knew the track’s name? That’s the dilemma Shazam sets out to solve.
By launching the application, holding your iPhone (or BlackBerry, Android & Nokia) to the sound source you want to ‘tag’ and waiting a few seconds to sample the track, Shazam will tell you what that track is, and present you with links to buy the song using the iPhone’s built-in iTunes store, as well as doing a YouTube search for the track to see if there’s any related videos you could see.
